The Graduate, made in 1967 and directed by Mike Nicols is one of the 20th century's greatest films. It won an Academy Award for best director and was nominated for 6 in the major catagories. The greatest achievement of this film though was putting Dustin Hoffman on the map. Hoffman would go on to win 2 Oscars and one Emmy.
